Would you like to grow your business but are not sure the best way to go about it?
Too often, businesses are focused on the wrong areas so growing their business becomes hard…and they end up wasting time and money. ☹
It doesn’t have to be this way.
To fast track the growth of your business there are 3 key areas to get right.
So, let’s have a look at what the three areas are.
1) Niche
This is the part of the market that you want to dominate and be known for. There’s three things you want to get right to really articulate your niche:
- Identify your target market: Who is the audience you are going for? Sometimes that’s a narrower product or service. For example, a plumber that we worked with focus on water filtration. Or it could be a specific type of customer. Like a financial planner we worked who focused on doctors and dentists.
- Refine your message: When you know your target audience, you can then start to refine your message. Make it speak more directly to them.
- Define your points of difference: Let know them know how you stand out from other. This will help you carve a much tighter niche, which makes the next two areas much easier to work with.
2) Marketing
This is all about generating a constant flow of the right type of leads. The first thing you want to do is assess your marketing. This starts with testing and measuring your marketing efforts to understand what’s working and what’s not.
When that’s clear, work on marketing strategies to grow your business. This includes generating new leads and also nurturing existing customers for repeat business. Get these right and you’ll be getting a good flow of leads coming into the business.
3) Maximising Sales Opportunities
This final part is all about maximising your sales. Here’s how you can do that:
- Define Your Sales Process: Clearly outline the steps from enquiry to purchase. Make sure you document each step, so that you can work on improving it.
- Optimise Your Conversion Rate: Work on optimising your sales process to improve your conversion rate. This includes things like training and development of your sales team and accountability so they hit your sales targets.
- Maximise Opportunities: Explore ways to get your customers to spend more with you. Increase the average sale value and consider additional products or services. Ask yourself, “How can I get my customers to spend more with me? How do I increase the average sale value? What else could I be selling to my current customers?”
Remember, if you want to grow your business, clearly define your niche, work on marketing to both current and new customers, and maximise your sales process so you can grow your business easily and effortlessly…and make the money that you want.
